TOKYO -- Japan's JSR plans to build its first Taiwanese production facility for semiconductor materials, Nikkei has learned, supplying photoresist to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) as Japanese players seek to retain their grip on the market amid growing Chinese competition.
