The Haitian Times, the Federation of Haitian Chambers of Commerce and Dave & Buster’s have launched a nationwide partnership to host official watch parties for Haiti’s 2026 FIFA World Cup matches. Events will take place in key host cities and Haitian Diaspora communities across the United States, with 20% of game card proceeds supporting Haitian chambers of commerce and community nonprofits.
The Haitian Times, the Federation of Haitian Chambers of Commerce (FHCC) and Dave & Buster’s announced today a nationwide partnership to host official watch parties for Haiti’s 2026 FIFA World Cup matches across the United States.
The celebrations will take place in key FIFA World Cup host cities, including Philadelphia and Atlanta, as well as Haitian Diaspora hubs in Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Colorado and South Carolina during the group-stage matches on June 13, June 19 and June 24. The initiative aims to unite Haitian communities and soccer fans nationwide in celebration of Haiti’s historic return to the global tournament after 52 years.
“We were intentional about bringing these watch parties to cities where our diaspora is growing and building its presence. In places where people may not have as many Haitian-owned restaurants, cultural centers or gathering spaces, these events create an opportunity for families, friends and multiple generations to come together and celebrate this historic moment,” said Vania André, publisher and editor-in-chief of The Haitian Times. “We’re thrilled that Dave & Buster’s recognizes the significance of this achievement and is helping create welcoming spaces for our community across the country.”
The watch parties are free and open to the public. Twenty percent of game card proceeds from participating events will benefit local Haitian chambers of commerce and community nonprofits.
“This partnership is a powerful way to celebrate Haiti’s return to the world stage while highlighting Dave & Buster’s commitment to community engagement and cultural inclusion. At a time when many Haitians face travel restrictions that prevent them from attending in person, we appreciate Dave & Buster’s for bringing people together and celebrating the resilience, diversity and pride of the Haitian community,” said Dr. Ronald Cetoute, chairman of FHCC.
Many immigrant and diaspora media outlets serving communities across the U.S. have reported challenges obtaining credentials to cover the World Cup, limiting their ability to provide culturally relevant coverage of the tournament. At the same time, many fans face barriers to attending matches in person, including high ticket prices, transportation challenges and concerns related to immigration enforcement.
“We quickly realized that Haiti qualifying for the World Cup means so much more than a soccer tournament. It’s a source of pride and excitement for Haitian communities across the United States and around the world. We wanted to create welcoming spaces where people can celebrate together, make memories with family and friends, and share in this historic moment. We’re proud to partner with The Haitian Times and the Federation of Haitian Chambers of Commerce to bring these celebrations to communities across the country,” said Steven Greenblatt, sales manager at Dave & Buster’s Hollywood.
