Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGC) said on Wednesday that with US threats coming to an end, "safe and stable" transit through the Strait of Hormuz will be ensured.
Citing the statement made by the IRGC, state media indicated that new procedures would be put in place, but did not specify what they could entail.
The IRGC also thanked owners and captains of vessels in the Gulf for respecting Iranian regulations when moving through the waterway.
