Iran’s foreign minister has arrived in Pakistan ahead of expected talks with the United States, as diplomatic efforts to end the war gather pace.

Abbas Araghchi landed in Islamabad on Friday, according to Pakistan’s foreign ministry.

Officials said he will meet senior Pakistani leaders to discuss regional developments and ongoing efforts to secure peace and stability.

Araghchi "will hold meetings with top Pakistani leaders to discuss the latest developments in the region as well as ongoing efforts for regional peace and stability," the ministry said in a statement.

The announcement did not directly mention planned talks with US envoys, though discussions between the two sides are expected to take place.
