Sergei Lavrov and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed called for the resumption of negotiations to address the Middle East crisis, Reuters news agency reported.
The call came after a phone conversation between the two ministers.
The Russian foreign ministry said both sides stressed the need for talks to reach a “long-term, sustainable resolution” that takes into account the interests of all countries in the region.
