Capital tie-up with Hunter Point Capital part of bank's push to expand market for asset class

TOKYO -- Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank has formed a capital tie-up with U.S.-based investment firm Hunter Point Capital (HPC), part of the Japanese lender's push to bring investments into alternative assets such as domestic real estate and private equity.
