Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned countries hosting US military forces to prepare for a "corresponding response", Iranian media reported.

In a statement carried by Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC urged those countries to "activate their civil defence units to protect their citizens and move them away from potential military targets".

The Guard said the countries were being used as "launchpads for aggression against Iran".

The IRGC also claimed it had used drones and missiles to target a US military logistics hub at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait and had disabled the radar system at the US' Ali Al Salem Air Base in the country.

Iranian officials said at least eight civilians were killed in US strikes in the Hormuzgan province on Friday, and several others were injured.
