CEO touts plans for '2nd-generation' hybrid in market steering away from full EVs

GOTHENBURG, Sweden -- Despite the headwinds facing electric vehicles in the U.S. under President Donald Trump, Volvo Car will start making a new EV there in late 2026 as planned, CEO Hakan Samuelsson told Nikkei in a recent interview.
