The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil) said on Thursday that the security situation in Lebanon remains “fragile” despite a decrease in the violence since late June.

“As families begin returning to their villages, peacekeepers are expanding their presence to help consolidate the relative stability achieved in recent weeks,” it said in a statement on X.
