Oil prices dropped by more than 1 percent as markets reacted to positive comments from US leaders on talks between Washington and Tehran.
Brent futures fell $1.38, or 1.89 percent, to $71.57 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude lost 92 cents, or 1.32 percent, to $68.58 a barrel, according to Reuters.
As we have been reporting, Trump and Vance earlier said talks were going "very well" and "extremely well", respectively.
