A landmark survey of cultural professionals across 89 nations revealed a staggering reality: 62% report poor or no access to basic health protection. For millions of artists, musicians, craftspeople, and cultural practitioners, the absence of formal employment means the absence of healthcare. The United Cultures International Health Organisation (UC-IHO) was established to address this crisis directly. Through partnerships with national health ministries and international bodies, UC-IHO is building a framework for cultural health coverage that crosses borders as freely as culture itself.
